A five-star house in the serene reaches of Ibadan — ninety-five rooms, four halls, one garden, kept since October 1988.
The Yoruba kept a title for the general of the field — Aare Ona Kakanfo. Rare, never inherited, held until the end. The hotel takes its name from that title, and is run by the same rule: quietly, exactly, and without hurry.
Opened at 1 Nihinlola Street with forty-two rooms. Thirty-five Octobers later the house holds ninety-five. Seventy minutes by road from Lagos, set into a high-brow pocket of Ibadan, kept to the standard of a 5-star property and certified to it.
A memorable stay, each time — value to every guest.
A world-class welcome, to guests of every culture.
Responsiveness · Integrity · Consistency · Excellence.
An elegant studio for solo travellers or a couple. Ambient lighting, modern amenities, a room that lets the day quiet down.
The house's signature — spacious, elegantly furnished, the class most guests come back for. Premium bedding, smart TV, views kept for the morning.
A separate bedroom and a living area, for the business traveller and the small family. Quieter than a room, kinder than a villa.
Our most elevated stay — living and dining areas, premium bedding, and the kind of service that anticipates. For VIP guests and extended visits.
Ultimate luxury — multiple bedrooms, full kitchen, private living. For families gathering, or the executive who stays a while.
A modern kitchen and large cold-storage, added in 2022, make catering-at-scale a given. The four halls take every configuration — from a two-hundred-cover dinner to a fifteen-hundred-seat theatre.
Capacity to 1,500 — for chieftaincies, national summits, and the largest weddings. Configurable for theatre, banquet, and classroom.
An executive room set in U-shape or round-table. House AV, blue linens, brick accent. The right scale for a board.
Classroom set-ups, training rooms, awards nights — flexible staging with projector and dais.
Wood-panelled, long table, projector. A closed-door room for the kind of meeting that decides things.
The restaurant keeps a continental and Yoruba menu through breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Later in the evening, the O Bar opens, the garden fountain is lit, and the swimming pool is drawn down for the morning. Lola Spa receives by appointment.
For a suite, a villa, or the larger days. A reply within the day, from a practised front-of-house.
