The doors open on Nihinlola Street. Forty-two rooms. A small house with a large name.
A Yoruba house on Ring Road, Ibadan — where breakfast is long, service is quiet, and the linens smell of line-dried cotton and open air. The kind of stay that teaches you to slow down on purpose.
A memorable experience. Every time.
A world-class welcome, tended by hand.
Responsiveness · Integrity · Consistency · Excellence
The word Aare Ona Kakanfo is the Yoruba title for the supreme general of the armies. It is rarely granted and never inherited. Our house took the word as a standard to meet — and, quietly, to keep.
What comes of that is a simple way of working: attention to the small things, given over time. The brass polished on the hour. Breakfast eggs cracked to order. A 9001-certified discipline, worn lightly. It shows.
thirty-five Octobers in Ibadan.
The doors open on Nihinlola Street. Forty-two rooms. A small house with a large name.

Ninety-five modern rooms. Every key refreshed, line by line.
Multi-purpose halls. A new kitchen. Cold-storage at scale. A house ready to host the bigger days.
Ninety-five keys across five classes. Each linen pressed, each window opened for a morning, each switch tested. The following is our full roster — arranged from studio to villa.
Spacious, elegant, soft-lit. Premium linens, a considered reading chair, an honest kettle. The house's steady-state comfort.
An elegant studio for solo travelers or couples. Ambient lighting, modern amenities, a made bed at noon.
Separate bedroom and living area. Good for small families and travelers with papers to spread.
Separate living and dining. Premium amenities. Designed for VIP guests and long, considered stays.
Largest class: multiple bedrooms, full kitchen, generous living. For families, delegations, long weeks.
Breakfast from seven — eggs to order, fried plantain, bean pottage, flatbreads on request. Lunch and dinner bridge continental and Yoruba cuisine: efo riro, grilled fish, rice pilaf, jollof prepared with proper patience. The O Bar pours through the evening.

Since 2022, Kakanfo has kept four halls of varying scale — from the flagship Lekan Are for thousand-seat ceremonies to the Ayo Boardroom for closed-door decisions. A modern kitchen and cold-storage facility makes proper catering a given.

Turquoise water. Shaded palms. An afternoon you didn't know you'd scheduled. Lola Spa is housed on the ground floor — massage, sauna, steam, by appointment.
